Go Baby Go 2019

May 26, 2019

At Kaynor we had a joint event where Oliver Wolcott Technical High School and Kaynor Technical High School came together to make adaptive motorized vehicles for disabled students. At this event CADD, Electronics, Electrical, and Manufacturing were critical in making this event successful. We were able to modify 8 cars and work with the physical therapist from Central Connecticut State University. The families were so excited to be receiving these vehicles. In addition, our chorus students we an integral part of making this day a success by singing to the students in the media center while they waited for their cars to be adapted. It was awesome to have the support of Waterbury Mayor Neil O’Leary, Senator Joan Hartley, State Representatives Ron Napoli from the 73rd District and Stephanie Cummings from the 74th District.
