Go Baby Go!

May 25, 2018

On May 25, Kaynor Technical High School hosted a successful Go Baby Go event. We want to thank the Torrington Chapter of Unico National for awarding a community project grant to both Oliver Wolcott and Kaynor Technical High Schools. This grant has funded the purchasing of electronic cars and all adaptation materials that are needed to modify the cars to meet the children’s needs. We have received guidance from physical therapist Rosie De Feo and Central Connecticut State University to customize electronic cars to assist children with their mobility. These funds were used to support the Go Baby Go project. This is an exemplary project where various trade technologies have collaborated to adapt these electronic vehicles. This distribution day was full of excitement as our families gather to receive these specialized vehicles. The joy on the young drivers’ faces as they took several laps around the gym makes everyone’s efforts rewarding. The children were eager for their trial run in their new customized car.
