Health Technology Juniors become CNA’s

May 26, 2018

The Health Technology Department prepares students to become Certified Nurse Assistants. In their junior year, students must complete 100 hours of clinical time in the nursing facility, four times more hours than required to become a CNA, before they are allowed to sit for the written exam and demonstrate their hands on knowledge through a practical exam.

On May 22, the Health Technology Department proudly pinned 19 new Certified Nurse Assistants. Care of another person is not just focused on the physical aspects of care, but also encompasses the spiritual, religious, emotional, psychological and social well-being of a person. Our students effectively provided all of this, while caring for their patients.
