The Carpentry program is organized around the fabrication of millwork, residential homebuilding and related remodeling, as well as basic commercial building techniques. Students learn the use of hand tools, portable power tools, stationary hand and power machinery, as well as ladder, scaffold and fall protection. Instruction also includes fabrication of cabinets and other millwork, homebuilding techniques, including framing, stair construction, interior/exterior finishes, door and window installation, and basic commercial building applications.
