Kaynor SkillsUSA Named Outstanding Chapter 2016

At the April 1 CT SkillsUSA State Competition, Kaynor was recognized as Connecticut’s Outstanding Chapter for the Community Service Activities, Leadership Training, Social Activities, and preparation for competition they provided their members. The Community Service Team also won their competition for our Hunger Project that provided 10,000 meals to  Waterbury families. Other State Champions include Kamau Russell, Jack Petrucci, and Eric White. The team of nine students will be traveling to Louisville, KY for the SkillsUSA National Competition the last week of June. In addition, the chapter also received a plaque from United Way for the highest contribution from a Connecticut Skills USA chapter. Kaynor also had many second and third place winners, as well as medalists.
