SkillsUSA’s “Home for the Homeless” Project Earned Fifth Place in the Nation
At the SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Competition, Kaynor Tech’s Community Service Team competed against all of the other state champions and earned fifth place in the nation. Team leaders Tracy Nham, Jamaris Perez, and Navendra Newland not only worked hard during the year to coordinate all aspects of the project, but they also prepared a highly detailed notebook and gave a PowerPoint presentation to a team of judges. In addition, they were interviewed for Champions, SkillsUSA’s national magazine, and attended a photo shoot. They were featured in this month’s Spotlight section.
